Children's Program Aangan also builds the capacity of communities in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area so that community members can address the issue of child sexual abuse within their own community by conducting awareness raising activities and setting up child protection committees.

Children's Program Aangan took up one such initiative in the community of Rehmatabad, Rawalpindi where they successfully established a child protection committee. The details of the project are mentioned in the project report "Umeed-e-Nau" which can be acquired from Aangan's resource material.
