 Campaign onBreak the Silence on Child Sexual Abuse

 Are you an adult who cares for children?Are you someone who wants to make a difference?If yes, Act Now! Help stop child sexual abuse Rozan

 

Rozan is a non-governmental organization working on the issues of emotional and mental health, gender and violence against women and children. Its mission is “to have worked with all people, especially women, youth and children, to collectively strive for a society that is violence free, self aware, accepting of itself and others”.

Aangan

Aangan is a Rozan program working to enhance the emotional health of children, dealing particularly with the issue of child sexual abuse. Initiated in early 1993, Aangan also functions as a resource center. It is the first program of its kind to work actively on the very sensitive and tabooed issue of child sexual abuse in Pakistan.

The issue of child sexual abuse is one of the major problems prevalent in our society. 

About the Campaign

This campaign is designed to create awareness among people about the seriousness of child sexual abuse and its adverse and long-term implications for children, adults and society as a whole. a major aim is to mobilize the community to actively help in the prevention of child sexual abuse.Main

Objectives

  • To raise awareness on child sexual abuse (CSA) in 5000 adults.
  • To motivate and mobilize people to take up the issue and spread the information/awareness about CSA in the society.

 

Target Group

  • Communities
  • Long Distance Volunteers through web links (LDVs)
  • Students in colleges/universities

 

Who Can Participate

  • Any one above 18 years of age, having 10 years of education (Matriculation) who cares and wants to make a change

 

What will you get?

Levels of Participation Primary participants

·         To be a primary participant, you should:

·         Fill out registration form given to you during campaign introduction

·         Attend one orientation seminar of one and a half hour worth 100 points.

·         Read three brief written material/pamphlets worth 100 points

·         Fill a simple questionnaire and send it back to Rozan worth 200 points.

·         Reach out to five or more people and enroll them as secondary participants.

·         Share the reading material with secondary participants

·         Encourage the secondary participant to read, fill and return completed questionnaire. For each questionnaire returned by secondary participant, you will get 25 points and for each completely filled questionnaire, you will get 50 points.

Secondary Participants

To be a secondary participant, you should:

·         Register yourself in the campaign through primary participants or web links.

·         Read written material worth 150 points.

·         Fill a simple questionnaire and send it back to Rozan worth 250 points.

·         Reach out to five or more people and enroll them as tertiary participants.

·         Share the reading material with tertiary participants

·         Encourage the tertiary participant to read, fill and return completed questionnaire. For each questionnaire returned by secondary participant, you will get 25 points and for each completely filled questionnaire, you will get 50 points. 

Tertiary participants

To be a tertiary participant, you should:

·         Register yourself in the campaign through secondary participants

·         Read written material worth 150 points.

·         Fill a simple questionnaire and send it back to Rozan worth 250 points.

·         Reach out to five or more people; share the reading material among them.

·         Encourage them to participant to read, fill and return completed questionnaire.

For each questionnaire returned by them, you will get 25 points and for each completely filled questionnaire, you will get 50 points.

*A minimum of 700 score points is necessary to get a certificate. *Long distance volunteers from outside Pakistan will get certificates on 550 score points.

Bonus Points

You can also brighten your chances of scoring more points by putting in more efforts.  

·         Enrolling more than five participants

If you share the reading material with more than five participants in the campaign, you will get 25 bonus points for each extra participant.

·         Screening of Tinku & Tinna DVDYou can score 750 Golden points if you screen the Tinku & Tina DVD with a group of 10-15 children of 8-12 years. For screening, Rozan will provide you the DVD and instructions of how to do this on request.

 

Evaluation of score pointsCampaign team will keep a record of each participant’ s total score points. Top scorers will get the prizes. Winners will be announced at the end of the campaign. Rozan staff and relatives are not eligible for prizes
